About Sajini

Sajini joined Guildford Chambers as a tenant in October 2026 following successful completion of pupillage. She specialises in family law, with a particular focus on private children matters and proceedings under the Family Law Act 1996.

Prior to joining Chambers, Sajini worked as a paralegal at KMJ Solicitors, specialising in private family law. Her work focused on financial remedy and private children matters, where she gained experience assisting clients through sensitive and complex proceedings.

Sajini studied Law at the University of Surrey where she graduated with First Class Honours. She was awarded the Dissertation Prize for achieving the highest dissertation mark of her year.

She subsequently undertook the Bar Training Course with Legal Masters at BPP University. During this time, she was awarded the Jules Thorn Scholarship by Middle Temple and the Advocacy Scholarship from BPP University. She was also the President of Advocacy and Mooting Society and ran various mooting competitions, both national and international. Sajini was called to the Bar in July 2024.

Children – Private Law

Sajini regularly represents clients involved in private children proceedings and accepts instructions at all stages of proceedings. She has experience acting for both applicants and respondents in disputes concerning child arrangements, prohibited steps orders and cases involving serious allegations of domestic abuse.

Children – Public Law

Sajini welcomes instructions in public children matters having observed a wide range of proceedings as part of her pupillage.

Domestic Violence & Injunction

Sajini regularly accepts instructions in proceedings under the Family Law Act 1996, including applications for non-molestation orders and occupation orders. She has acted for both applicants and respondents in such proceedings and has experience of matters involving allegations of domestic abuse, including cases where Family Law Act proceedings are linked to private children proceedings.

She has experience of hearings at various stages of proceedings, including interim and final hearings, and cases involving contested allegations and urgent applications.

Finance

Sajini is developing her practice in family finance. She welcomes instructions in financial remedy matters and is particularly interested in building her practice in this area.

Outside of Chambers, Sajini has a keen interest in fitness and enjoys hiking. She enjoys travelling and exploring new places
